Driftingenjören har huvudansvaret för en eller flera anläggningar och ansvarar för driften och underhållet av maskinerna. Du kan även delta i utveckling och införande av ny teknik. För det mesta sker arbetet på kontoret eller övervakning av anläggningen från kontrollrummet.
Arbetsledning, personalansvar, planering och inköp av utrustning och bränsle ingår i driftingenjörens arbetsuppgifter. Du gör även analyser av energianvändandet för att kunna planera hur anläggningen ska använda sina resurser på bästa sätt i framtiden.
Lämpliga utbildningar för driftingenjörer finns inom högskolan och kan vara elektroingenjörsutbildning med inriktning elkraft, energiingenjörsutbildningar eller utbildningar inom kemiteknik. Utbildningarna omfattar heltidsstudier på 3-5 år och inriktningen är beroende på inom vilket område du vill jobba.
Bra grundläggande utbildning finns på gymnasieskolans Teknikprogrammet.
Passande grundutbildning kan finnas inom yrkeshögskolan.
Driftingenjörer arbetar på anläggningar som producerar el, annan energi, värme eller kyla. Du kan också arbeta inom stora fastigheter som exempelvis sjukhus, inom processindustrin eller vid kommunala vatten- och avloppsanläggningar.

What can we propose?
You will contribute to our world-class development and integration of electrical system solutions with the aim to reach our Zero City vision: zero emissions, zero noise, zero accidents and zero congestion. You will lead the development within the system architect area in our electromobility vehicles and will work closely together with different stakeholders within AB Volvo in order to achieve our customer’s expectations.
The role consists in identifying and breaking down user cases and requirements into documented technical solutions as well as creating and maintaining roadmaps within the area. You will work in engineering projects and be involved in all phases of the product development process, from advanced engineering to aftermarket.

B.Sc. or higher education in Electrics or Electronics Engineering or similar is highly valuable as well as previous experience from design of TVS topologies for electric/hybrid vehicles.
Since you have good engineering judgment and priorities, you have the ability and interest to technically support, lead and challenge colleagues in their work and their mindset. You like to share your passion for technical solutions and you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a person you are positive, you display driving force and have a structured way of working.
Main area of responsibility:
You will be a part of the Electromobility group within the Electrical & Software Architecture Department. You will play an important role in achieving our Electromobility program targets and your main responsibilities are:
- Drive the development of topology for the traction voltage system
- Responsibility to specify and anchor user cases both with internal and external stakeholders
- Specify, design and attribute different components to the system
- Lead and/or participate in early phase discussions for future development of e-mob vehicles
- Identify and break-down requirements on system and components level
- Write technical reports and specifications for design solutions
