Flygingenjör

Flygingenjör

Brinner du för att utveckla framtidens flygplan och/eller helikoptrar och vill du syssla med konstruktion, drift och underhåll i teknikens framkant? I så fall kan yrket flygingenjör passa dig väldigt bra!

Flygteknik kan förenklat beskrivas som maskinteknik med flygteknisk tillämpning. Flygingenjörer arbetar med utveckling, konstruktion eller drift och underhåll av flygplan.

Eftersom flyget ligger långt fram inom många tekniska områden arbetar flygingenjörer ständigt med aktuell teknik. Flygingenjörer kan specialisera sig inom olika områden, exempelvis inom flygplansdrift, avionik*, underhållsteknik och/eller konstruktion.

Flygingenjör är även en befattning inom Svenska flygvapnet med lägst majorsgrad. En flygingenjör inom Försvarsmakten kan ha flygtjänst eller marktjänst.

Exempel på yrkestitlar som utbildade flygingenjörer kan ha efter sin examen är flygsystemingenjör, utvecklare, konstruktör, produktansvarig, projektledare, testledare, avionik- och logistikingenjör.

Utbildning

Flygingenjörsprogrammet, 180 hp

En bra grundutbildning får du på gymnasiets Teknikprogrammet.

De flygingenjörer som skall ha flygtjänst utbildas tillsammans med officerare i flygtjänst. Den grundläggande flygutbildningen sker på flygplan SK 60.

Efter grundläggande flygutbildning följer GTU, som innebär grundläggande taktisk flygutbildning. Här lär man sig den grundläggande taktiken för jakt-, attack- och spaning.

Vidareutbildningen - TIS, GFSU samt fortsatt flygplansutbildning FFSU genomförs tillsammans med dem som skall bli officerare i flygtjänst på någon flottilj i flygvapnet.

Framtidsutsikter

Flygingenjörer har en god arbetsmarknad framför sig. De är även eftertraktade inom många andra, närliggande, områden som bil-, tåg-, lastbils- och tillverkningsindustrin.

Arbetsplats

Ingenjörer som arbetar inom flygindustrin kan ha olika ingenjörsbakgrunder, t ex inom Maskinteknik, Energi- och miljöteknik, Elektronik, Elektroteknik, Datateknik, Teknisk Fysik, Innovation- och design m.m.

En flygingenjör inom Försvarsmakten kan arbeta dels på Försvarets materielverk, FMV, som står för anskaffning, utprovning och underhåll av flygvapnets materiel, dels vid någon av flygvapnets flottiljer, på marken eller i luften.

Role Overview The Head of Engineering reports to the Head of the Design Organization, and has broad responsibility as Chief Engineer for the entire design and development of the aircraft. You will lead a multi-functional design team, covering all structural, systems, and common engineering disciplines. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership of the design, analysis, and compliance of the aircraft design, working collaboratively with the airworthiness and system monitoring functions within the design organization, and following the approved Design Organization Handbook (DOH) procedures. You will also represent the engineering department at program/technical reviews as well as customers/supplier meetings, ensuring the engineering definition meets stakeholder all requirements. The Head of Engineering ensures adherence to all engineering processes/standards, drives concurrent engineering, and participates in design reviews to meet certification, cost, schedule and manufacturability goals. Role Overview The Head of Independent System Monitoring (ISM) reports to the Head of the Design Organization, and has broad responsibility for ensuring compliance with the Design Assurance System (DAS). You will have additional independent responsibilities towards the Quality Assurance department, through operational interfaces to the Head of QA. You will be responsible for executing the functions of the ISM as defined in EASA 21A.239(a)(3). You will develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and assist the organization in developing actions to meet those KPIs. Come help us write a new chapter in the history of aviation together. Role Overview The ES-19 aircraft is a new, all-electric aircraft for regional air transportation. We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Installation Design Engineer to help us design and develop the aircraft mechanical and utility systems. It is anticipated that the mechanical systems will be electrically controlled and actuated, eliminating the need for hydraulic systems This will be a broad role covering design, analysis and testing. Applicants will be working with a team of aircraft design, aerodynamics, systems, powertrain and external loads disciplines to develop the preliminary structural design of the aircraft. Roles and Responsibilities - Lead on developing the CAD models defining the preliminary design and installation of the aircraft mechanical systems, components and routing throughout the aircraft to support development of the master aircraft configuration. - Work with all disciplines across aerodynamics, external loads, design, stress, interiors, systems, propulsion and powertrain to ensure a minimum weight and cost aircraft design that meets schedule. - Using past program experience, require little to no guidance to optimize aircraft mechanical and electrical components installation, volume management, and routing in a multi-disciplinary environment. - Support trade studies on various configurations to support the aircraft Systems Readiness Review, Preliminary Design Review and manufacturing optimization. - Maintain a rigorous configuration control system. - Ensure achievement of systems installation and maintainability requirements. - Maintain technical knowledge and awareness of developments related to aircraft mechanical systems and related airworthiness regulations. - Prepare reports and presentations as needed to document and communicate work. - Report technical risks, issues and opportunities up through functional management. We are looking for an experienced Senior Airframe Stress Engineer to work on all aspects of structural analysis and help us optimize the aircraft structural design. Applicants will be working with a team of aircraft design, aerodynamics, systems, powertrain and external loads disciplines to develop the preliminary structural design of the aircraft. Job responsibilities will include the preliminary design and analysis of the ES-19 airframe, including material and hardware selection, proposing solutions to achieve stress, stiffness, durability and damage tolerance requirements and weight and cost optimization. Strong experience with FE methods (NX NASTRAN plus pre- and post-processors), as well as hand calculations is required, with experience in aircraft preliminary design and working on CS-23 certified or regional aircraft programs a benefit.
