Volvo Group Operations Graduate Program

If you are up for the challenge of developing the next generation of production plants or distribution centers and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!

During 15 intense and exciting months, the program will give you a holistic view of the Volvo Group’s global truck manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations. You will be part of the transformation in our industry, working with new technologies and building the competencies for tomorrow.

In parallel, you will grow your interpersonal skills through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will have the opportunity for several “on-the-job” rotations and experience working on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in training and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

Job Description:

You will help guide us through the digital transformation into Industry 4.0. You will be a vital piece in the puzzle to handle the shifting trends in research and development demands where customer problems are focus and speed is key. We fail fast and early, and we dare to take risks. The area of responsibility is our work with predictive and prescriptive analysis. What will happen and what do we need to do? Given the opportunities of big data and increased automation and AI, what needs to be done for us to stay relevant as world-class producers in the future?

Who are you?

Our future digital transformation leader is an innovator and thinker with a technology design and programming background. You are creative, initiative and thrive in complex problem-solving, and have the social and communicative skills required to navigate us into the future of industry 4.0.


Required knowledge/experience

Formal education: MSc in AI, data science, robotics, computer science, or similar.

Experience: Theoretical and practical knowledge of programming, computer systems, operating systems, and computer communication.

Maximum of two years previous work-experience prior to or after graduation.

Valid work permit for applied country if not a citizen.

Competences:

  • Man-machine interaction
  • Machine learning/ Artificial Intelligence/ Intelligent robotics
  • Knowledge of lean
  • Ability to coach and train others


It is required that you can speak, read and write both Swedish and English

You will be managing operations for all stores in your country, and coordinate with other central functions to ensure stable and efficient operations. Responsibilities

  • Build your team from the bottom up with all necessary roles
  • Have a key role in the expansion of your market.
  • Be responsible for operations in your country, ensuring all aspects of the business is coordinated and well executed
  • Closely coordinate with central and other functions, including assortment, buying, supply chain, recruiting and marketing
  • Maintain productive and effective procedures throughout the operations in your country.
  • Support Regional Managers with tools needed, in order for them to perform their tasks.
  • You will pick and pack and later deliver orders. This is our core business.

Requirements

  • You have previous experience with working in operational roles and high-pace environments
  • You have previous experience with leading different teams, preferably with a pedagogical leadership style.
  • Relevant educational background.
  • Analytical and good communication skills in Finish and English (nordic languages are also a big plus!).
  • Flexible and comfortable with travelling to the different stores in your country to keep up with managing your teams (we like a hands on mentality!)
  • Great problem solving skills - we are a startup company and are constantly developing and optimising our processes!
  • We consider it a great advantage if you have previous experience of a managing role in a startup company.

Tjänsten inleds som ett konsultuppdrag där du är anställd av OnePartnerGroup och uthyrd till vår kund, goda möjligheter finns för fortsättning efter perioden.

Beskrivning: 
Du kommer att tillsammans med en kollega i samma roll att ansvara för en grupp på ca 40 personer. Tillsammans ska ni jobba för att de inarbetade processerna efterföljs och arbetet på terminalen lever upp till vad företaget står för. I rollen ingår ett nära samarbete med övriga avdelningschefer internt men även en hel del extern kontakt och samarbeten utanför arbetsplatsen. Gruppen du kommer att ansvara för jobbar kvällsskift, vilket gör att arbetstiderna i rollen kommer vara eftermiddag/kväll.

I det dagliga arbetet ingår b.la följande arbetsuppgifter:
- Planera, leda och följa upp det dagliga arbetet
- Ansvara för att avdelningen når uppsatta mål
- Ansvara för schemaläggningen, rekrytering och personalfrågor
- Ansvara för personlig utveckling på individ och gruppnivå 
- Samordna och ansvara för lokala projekt

Personliga egenskaper:
Vi tror att du som söker denna roll är en målmedveten person som trivs med att motivera och utveckla dina medarbetare. Du förstår vikten i att nå uppsatta resultat i ditt arbete och leda en grupp mot gemensamma mål. Att fatta snabba beslut har länge varit en del av ditt arbete och du hanterar stress på ett kontrollerat sätt. Din ledarstil beskrivs som kommunikativ och du trivs i att skapa relationer såväl inom företaget som utanför, du trivs i att jobba i en miljö som alltid utvecklas. 


Kvalifikationer:
- Gymnasialutbildning, gärna inriktning mot logistik eller liknande
- Du kommunicera bra i både svenska och engelska
- God IT-kunskap
- Du slutför dina arbetsuppgifter och har förmåga att prioritera i vilken ordning de bör göras
- Haft en ledande roll i minst 3 år med personal som direktrapporterat till dig

Meriterande:
- Truckkort A+B
- Tidigare arbetslivserfarenheter från liknande roller

We are now looking for a Superintendent to one of these areas. You will be a member of the Quality & Plant Academy management team and report directly to the Head of Quality and Plant Academy VCT. In this role you will support the daily operation in terms of quality to furthermore develop already existing processes and working methods to fulfill long-term goals concerning quality, human development, and various goals according to the overall targets set by local management and VCT management team. The overall mission is to focus on the customer in all situations where your area of responsibility span from incoming material quality all the way until the car is ready for shipment from the factory. You must be able to build commitment to the team, drive development of the business, develop Volvo Cars Manufacturing System, reduce losses, and drive operations against lean transformation. As our Superintendent you will lead the team in a way that supports the Volvo Cars culture and wanted leadership behaviors. Other responsibilities include performance management, competency development, knowledge sharing and resource allocation according to requirements of the business.  In this role you will also be a member of the local management team.  Do you fit the profile?  We are looking for a committed and inspiring manager who is passionate about quality, process- and human development. You have a University degree or similar experience and are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
