Assignment Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / PostgreSQL Specialist

What You Will Work On

• Support the migration of approximately 250 applications from Oracle RAC to PostgreSQL
• Provide deep PostgreSQL expertise throughout the migration lifecycle
• Analyze and resolve differences between Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Support development teams from component migration through production
• Ensure database performance, compatibility, and accuracy during migrations
• Act as a PostgreSQL specialist, advisor, and problem solver
• Share PostgreSQL knowledge and best practices with the database team
• Document migration experiences, lessons learned, and technical solutions
• Define and document database migration best practices
• Review the existing database setup and recommend improvements
• Collaborate closely with database specialists and application development teams

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years of PostgreSQL experience
• Very strong practical knowledge of PostgreSQL and modern PostgreSQL versions
• Previous experience with database migration projects
• Strong Linux experience
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Strong English communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Ability to act as a specialist, advisor, and knowledge carrier
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
