Role Overview The Head of Engineering reports to the Head of the Design Organization, and has broad responsibility as Chief Engineer for the entire design and development of the aircraft. You will lead a multi-functional design team, covering all structural, systems, and common engineering disciplines. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership of the design, analysis, and compliance of the aircraft design, working collaboratively with the airworthiness and system monitoring functions within the design organization, and following the approved Design Organization Handbook (DOH) procedures. You will also represent the engineering department at program/technical reviews as well as customers/supplier meetings, ensuring the engineering definition meets stakeholder all requirements. The Head of Engineering ensures adherence to all engineering processes/standards, drives concurrent engineering, and participates in design reviews to meet certification, cost, schedule and manufacturability goals. Qualifications - Graduate degree in aerospace, aeronautical similar discipline, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 20 years experience in an engineering leadership position within an aerospace OEM company environment. - Experience with aircraft certification programs through the entire design, development & certification lifecycle (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25) - Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent. - Direct experience with the role of the Chief Engineer or Engineering Director within an approved design organization. - Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English. - Eagerness to work with others. - Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission. Role Overview The Head of Flight Test Operations reports to the Head of the Design Organization and has broad responsibility for the flight test capabilities of the company, including instrumentation engineering, flight test engineering, and test pilots. You will be responsible for developing an approved Flight Test Operations Manual (FTOM), as part of our Part 21J Design Organization Approval. You will have additional responsibilities as part of the design organization for human factors and human-machine interface definition, including flight crew control & indication and the crew alert system definition. You will also be responsible for executing the daily operations of the department, including planning and reporting. Qualifications - Graduate degree in Aerospace or similar discipline, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 15 years experience in engineering within an aerospace OEM company environment. - Experience with aircraft certification programs through the entire design, development & certification lifecycle (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25) - Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent. - Direct experience with the role of flight test engineering, flight test operations or as a test pilot - Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English. - Eagerness to work with others. - Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission. Role Overview The Head of Independent System Monitoring (ISM) reports to the Head of the Design Organization, and has broad responsibility for ensuring compliance with the Design Assurance System (DAS). You will have additional independent responsibilities towards the Quality Assurance department, through operational interfaces to the Head of QA. You will be responsible for executing the functions of the ISM as defined in EASA 21A.239(a)(3). Your duties with include ensuring compliance with the Design Organization Handbook (DOH), monitoring the adequacy of, and adherence to, the DOH procedures, & verifying technical content of the deliverables. You will also be responsible for monitoring and analysis at process level performed by the design organization staff, including collection of issues arising during a given process, and systematic and complete reporting about health of the process. Role Overview The Head of Quality Assurance reports to the Head of Operational Excellence (OPEX), and has broad responsibility for the development, implementation and oversight of the company Quality Management System (QMS). You will have additional responsibilities for oversight of the Design organization Independent System Monitoring (ISM) function, through operational interfaces to the Head of ISM. You will be responsible for the continuous monitoring of the QMS, identification of gaps and corrective actions, as well as the continuous improvement of the QMS. Qualifications - Graduate degree in Aerospace or similar discipline, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 15 years experience in quality assurance in an aerospace company environment. - Extensive experience of developing, implementing and continuously improving an AS9100D Quality Management System. - Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent. - Familiarity with the role of Independent System Monitoring (ISM) within an approved design organization. - Experience with supplier Quality assurance including initial and recurring audits - Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems including configuration and change management. - Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English. - Eagerness to work with others. - Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission.
