Join our data transformation journey and help shape the future of Nordic banking
As we continue our exciting cloud transformation journey, we're looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will play a pivotal role in building and scaling our modern data platform from the ground up. You'll be essential in creating the data foundation that powers decision-making across our business and drives innovation in Nordic financial services.
We offer a hybrid remote work solution within Sweden, with occasional visits to our HQ in Helsingborg.
Get an idea of the role
As a Senior Data Engineer at Resurs, you'll be at the forefront of our cloud transformation, working with cutting-edge AWS technologies to build scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions. You'll collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, product teams, and business stakeholders to transform how we leverage data to create value for our customers and drive business growth.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Design, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and architectures using modern AWS services and cloud-native technologies

Build and implement scalable unified data platform solutions that support advanced analytics and data-driven decision making

Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all data flows, adhering to banking regulations and compliance requirements

Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable data products

Drive best practices for DataOps, monitoring, and automated data pipeline orchestration

Mentor junior team members and contribute to the evolution of our data engineering standards and practices

Lead technical decision-making for data architecture and tooling within assigned projects

On a personal level
You're likely a curious and collaborative professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. You have a passion for turning data into actionable insights and take pride in building systems that scale. We believe you also bring:
Essential experience:

A proven track record of delivering scalable data solutions in cloud environments

Strong expertise with AWS data services (ECS, S3, Athena, and related services)

Advanced SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouse architectures, optimization techniques, and transformation tools like dbt

Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CDK, or similar) and CI/CD pipelines

Strong Python skills for data processing and pipeline development

Experience with data orchestration tools (Dagster, Airflow, or similar)

Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in regulated industries

Nice to have:

Experience in banking, fintech, or other regulated financial industries

Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and serverless architectures

Background in agile development methodologies and DataOps practices

Personal qualities:

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues

Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging data technologies

Come and help us create the scalable banking experiences our customers need, combining the speed, experimentation, and customer focus of a modern product team. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, customers, and experienced engineers to shape and build innovative financial services in a rapidly changing market.
Get an idea of the role
We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about building exceptional customer experiences within retail banking and financial services.
We operate as a true product team, not a collection of individuals working through separate backlogs. We solve problems together through continuous collaboration. Rather than relying on heavyweight processes and detailed upfront planning, we value fast feedback, experimentation, and iterative delivery.
A key part of our engineering approach is using AI-powered development practices and agentic workflows. We are looking for engineers who embrace this with evolving pace and excited to help shape how we build modern software.
You will work closely with colleagues across the bank and directly with customers: effective communication skills, and relationship-building just as important as technical expertise.
Our technology decisions are intentional and pragmatic. We favor serverless architectures, managed cloud services, and modern engineering practices that allow us to move quickly while maintaining security, reliability, and scalability. We focus our energy on solving customer problems rather than managing infrastructure.
If you thrive in ambiguity, enjoy exploration and discovery, and want real influence over what gets built and how, we are that kind of team.
On a personal level
We believe you have experience in...
Strong proficiency in TypeScript
Comfortable working across both frontend and backend
Hands-on experience with AWS-based systems
Experience deploying and operating services in production
Solid technical judgement within own area of responsibility
Able to reason about trade-offs across frontend, backend and cloud architecture with support from senior engineers
Comfortable taking technical decisions with end-to-end responsibility.
Meriting skills
Serverless solution design in AWS
Knowledge of IAM and security patterns in AWS
Experience owning services or components in production
Resurs in brief

With customers across the Nordics and more than 800 colleagues, we are committed to creating long-term value for individuals, businesses, and society. Recognized as a career company for the past six years, we put strong emphasis on both personal and professional growth. Om jobbet
