The Rugs Business is the team you will be joining and we are a dynamic and competent team where you will be overall responsible for the technical documentation. Also including all relevant product requirements and verification methods, throughout the product lifecycle and in close co-operation with relevant stakeholders throughout the value chain, acting on a global arena.  Come and join us! As a Product Requirement Engineer in our team, you will: •    be responsible for the technical documentation package throughout the product life cycle •    be responsible to continuously identify and create product requirements and connected verification methods based on customer needs and expectations •    contribute to the development of product requirements based on legal and market specific requirements in existing and new sales markets •    be part of a product development team and work in close co-operation with colleagues within the Business Area, as well as colleagues from other organizations/functions •    follow-up on safety, quality and compliance performance  To shine in this role, we wish you to have a University Degree in engineering, preferably in Textile, and solid technical experience from relevant field. You have experience in product development and/or creating and documenting product requirements as well as knowledge in certification and verification methods. You have supply chain- and production knowledge and are skilled in requirement management. You can understand, translate and apply technical requirements in the product development process. IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world, therefore you need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken. The position is placed in Älmhult, Sweden. As you know, Älmhult is the heart of IKEA and has commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg three times a day. As a Lead Product Developer - Textiles you will hold a key position in the soft goods development team, a team that support all the product development projects involving textiles. You will drive technical part of soft goods development, from product initiation to ready for production. You have the overview of all ongoing activities in your projects and coordinate and delegate tasks for soft goods team members, consisting of Soft Goods Pattern Designers, a Material Developer and Sewing Technicians. We have over the last years invested in a modern sewing workshop that allows us to quickly move from idea to physical prototypes at hand.  In this role you work towards many contacts within and outside the company such as product manager, project manager, chief engineer, hard goods design engineers, production engineering, purchasing, quality, industrial design and suppliers. Your profile:  You have an academic Engineering degree within textile or similar and you have gained a couple of years of work experience from development of textile products or products partly consisting of textiles. You have a basic understanding of pattern design (Gerber / Lectra) and prototype sewing. We expect you have experience working in PDM-system and have knowledge and experience when it comes to release of design technical document. We also expect you can balance between multiple tasks/priorities and still consistently meet deadlines. To succeed in this role we believe you have high ability to present technical solutions and challenges, and able to adjust the way of communication depending on audience. You have high ability to motivate the team members to deliver tasks on time and with high quality as well as being a good listener for other member’s opinions and solutions. Moreover you have great creative skills as well as analytical.
